By using this website, requesting a quotation, instructing works or purchasing our services, you agree to these Terms.
Nothing contained within these Terms affects your statutory rights.
2. About Us
U C Em Facilities Ltd provides specialist drainage and civil engineering services including but not limited to:
- Emergency drain clearance
- High pressure water jetting
- CCTV drainage surveys
- Drain repairs
- Drain patch lining
- Drain relining
- Root cutting
- Descaling
- Excavation works
- Pipe replacement
- Interceptor cleaning
- Pump station maintenance
- Septic tank and treatment plant works
- Gully cleaning
- Manhole maintenance
- Planned preventative maintenance
3. Quotations
All quotations are:
- subject to survey where applicable
- valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise
- based upon information supplied by the customer
- exclusive of VAT unless specifically stated
Quotations are based upon conditions visible at the time of pricing.
Hidden defects may require additional work.
4. Estimates
Where an exact scope cannot reasonably be determined, any price provided shall be treated as an estimate only.
Additional works will only be undertaken following discussion with the customer unless emergency circumstances make immediate action necessary to prevent further damage.
5. Acceptance of Works
You accept these Terms when you:
- accept a quotation
- instruct us verbally
- instruct us by email
- instruct us by telephone
- approve works electronically
- allow our engineers to commence work
6. Payment
Payment is due in accordance with your quotation or invoice.
Unless agreed otherwise:
- Domestic work is payable immediately upon completion.
- Commercial accounts shall be paid in accordance with agreed credit terms.
Late payment may result in:
- suspension of works
- withholding of reports
- interest
- debt recovery action
7. CCTV Reports
Where a CCTV survey has been requested:
The survey reflects the condition of the drainage system only at the time of inspection.
Hidden defects cannot always be identified.
Reports may be withheld until payment has cleared.
8. Report Accuracy
Reports represent our professional opinion based upon:
- accessible areas
- available evidence
- conditions existing during inspection
Further defects may become apparent once excavation or further investigation has taken place.
9. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must:
- provide safe access
- disclose known hazards
- provide access to services where required
- obtain permissions from landlords where applicable
- advise us of asbestos or contamination where known
10. Excavation Works
Excavation pricing assumes normal ground conditions.
Additional charges may apply for:
- rock
- reinforced concrete
- excessive groundwater
- contaminated ground
- unidentified services
- undocumented pipework
11. Underground Services
Utility drawings are indicative only.
The customer remains responsible for providing any available utility information.
The Company cannot accept responsibility for inaccurate service drawings supplied by others.
12. Drain Repairs
Repair methods are selected using professional judgement.
Where additional defects are discovered after excavation begins, revised recommendations may be provided.
13. High Pressure Water Jetting
Jetting removes obstructions.
It does not repair:
- broken drains
- displaced joints
- collapsed pipework
- root ingress
- structural defects
Recurring blockages may require permanent repair.
14. Root Cutting
Root removal removes existing roots only.
Future root growth cannot be prevented without structural repair.
15. Drain Lining
Drain lining is suitable only where existing pipework is structurally capable of accepting rehabilitation.
Not every drain is suitable for lining.
16. Guarantees
Guarantees apply only where specifically confirmed in writing.
Manufacturer warranties remain subject to the manufacturer’s own conditions.
17. Liability
Our liability is limited to losses directly arising from our negligence.
We shall not be liable for:
- consequential loss
- loss of profit
- business interruption
- loss caused by hidden defects
- deterioration occurring after attendance
Nothing limits liability where prohibited by law.
18. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for delays caused by:
- severe weather
- flooding
- utility failures
- industrial action
- government restrictions
- events beyond our reasonable control
19. Photographs & CCTV
We may retain:
- CCTV footage
- photographs
- engineer notes
- inspection records
- GPS records
- job documentation
for quality assurance, contractual evidence and legal compliance.
20. Intellectual Property
All reports, drawings, photographs and CCTV recordings remain the intellectual property of U C Em Facilities Ltd until paid for in full.
Unauthorised reproduction is prohibited.
21. Cancellations
Where engineers have already travelled or materials have been ordered, cancellation charges may apply.
Special order materials may be non-returnable.
22. Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service please contact us promptly.
We aim to resolve complaints professionally and fairly.
23. Privacy
Personal information is processed in accordance with UK GDPR.

24. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
